As a philly fan, I think I'm seeing the end of a nice run by the Phillies.  Everyone is older and injury prone and mgmt has done little to upgrade the talent on this team.  It was fun but I think it's over for the struggling Phils.  Time to blow it up and start over again.

Good Monday Afternoon GB10, already off to another busy start to the week...same sh!t...different day

The Big 3 of LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, and Chris Bosh have done exactly what they have needed to do the last two games to help the Heat reclaim control of the NBA Finals matchup vs the Thunder...stay out of foul trouble and move the ball so they can each attack the rim.  If Kevin Durant and the rest of the OKC starters can't play better defense without commiting silly fouls (not to mention make their free throws), this series will be lucky to go 6 games.

Scott did an admirable job of keeping our matchup respectable until Sunday, but in the end I simply had too many bullets for him to avoid being hit.  Despite Brandon Morrow going from two start SP to minus 7 points for the week after only throwing 9 pitches and then Starlin Castro not going on the plus side of zero until the Sunday Night game, my team scored nearly 300 points (only half point short) thanks to great contributions from Madison Bumgarner, Rafael Soriano, and Joey Votto.  Now I prepare to face Austin in what should be seen as the league Game of the Week...he's won 5 straight and though he's 2 games behind me, his team leads me in YTD points scored by nearly 40 points and he is arguably the best team in the East Division...sorry Val

After I saw Wiilingham and Elsbury get released, I must admit that there was a brief moment I thought Prince Fielder might also be jettisoned for another Pirates player...too bad Jose Tabata hasn't lived up to his sleeper potential...lol

I currently have Roy Halladay (I feel obligated to thank Marty every time I type his name), Brandon Morrow, and Brandon Beachy all on the DL for at least the next two weeks.  Unless Beachy has a season-ending injury (really hope he doesn't), I doubt I have any flexibility to make a trade or waiver wire addition for that matter because I'm certainly not dropping any of them for just another one-week wonder.

I need him to be DFA'd. Presley is better and Starling Marte has nowhere to play unless baseball changes to a 4 outfielder setup.
