miamivice82,
If someone gets four warnings in a two-week period they will be banned. Not three. |

CaptObvious,
Someone can report his post, but that doesn't lead to an automatic warning. As long as his posts don't violate TOS and aren't deemed inappropriate by the moderation staff he will be fine. Ok... It said three times earlier in this thread. Yeah, there was a miscommunication on our end with that. Four warnings in two weeks is the official line. We apologize for the confusion. |

I got a warning today but have no idea what I did or said how do you get clarification? It says minor for offensive language but I cant imagine what I said and was off topic where I can promise you I act like a saint. Some clarification would be appreciated. Thanks

Wild-Turkey1,
The post was removed because it contained an offensive word, even though it was spelled differently to circumvent the swear filter. Even though the word was part of text you copied from another user, having it in your post means it has to be removed. But, while the post was removed, it didn't seem like a warning was neccessary, so the warning has been removed from your profile. |

Banned Poster(s)July 26, 2012 5:20 pm
No issue with the banning policy, but shouldn't it read, "Three warnings UPHELD BY THE ADMINISTRATORS in a two-week period"? Some sort of automatic appeal of warnings prior to the banning?
Just a thought. |

How about adding "6 warnings in a 2 month period" for those repeat offenders?<br />

The "official" bar the moderation staff set was four warnings in a two-week span and any member would be banned on the spot. Recently, several posters have taken advantage of this rule so we have shortened the leash on tolerance for trolling members. Anyone found trolling under multiple IDs will be banned on the spot.
As for repeat offenders, four warnings in two weeks is no longer an official rule. If the moderators feel you are only causing problems and adding nothing of substance to the community, you will be banned. Also, several members have spent the majority of their time attempting to get other members banned. Reporting a large majority of their posts solely hoping to get enough to stick for a banishment. Any member found doing this, attacking one poster with an unreasonable amount of reports will be banned. Any member attempting to enlist the aid of others to ban another member will also be banned. |
