The big two games for the Cardinal are still going to be the obvious 2...USC and Oregon. If you think about it, they have the exact same schedule as last year, and they blew away almost every team by a huge margin. In my opinion, the two games that could have a different outcome are Cal and Notre Dame. Those were the only other two close games. Usually, you can expect a team with a young QB to give one away also, so who knows. However, the run game I think will be even better, and the defense will be better too. I think this year the secondary finally improves a bit, and our front 7 may be one of the top groups in the nation. I think a likely ending record is 10-3 (including bowl game). Could be better if they continue to get the best of USC and can not drop a close game, but I don't see them having an answer for Oregon still. That is just a very bad matchup for them.

drkato, how do you see "continuing to get the best of USC" and match up poorly against Oregon? Granted, both the Trojans and Cardinals play a pro-style offense, yet worry about Cal and Notre Dame?

Having, as you say, having a top front seven would be exactly what the doctor ordered in countering a spread, there's now three "spreads" in-conference, bottem line, your weaker at QB, USC is stronger, probably right across the boards, with the d-line the only question mark, and last year ended up a virtual toss-up.

I assume the Bowl game is a win in your 10-3, is that correct?Wink
