(The only reason I didn't include this years 2nd round pick is I want something to watch on Friday night)

. . . and the only reason I didn't include next years #1 pick is so TD can zero in on Colt McCoy's inevitable replacement.  Tongue out

Why does everybody keep saying that I want Ryan Tannehill at #4???  I think that's a big reach....Said it over and over...  I've said a million times since RG3 left the picture, TAKE Trent Richardson at #4!!!!!! How can I make that any clearer?   It starting to look like we won't even get the chance judging by Rick Spielman's comments..The Vikings are obviously shopping the #3, and I have no doubt that Richardson will be the target of whoever moves up...So who knows?  All I've ever said about RT is that IF Holmgren goes there, I'll understand.....But NOT at #4...This would only happen in a trade down IMO....

I don't even get the sense that the Browns are interested in Tannehill anyway.....I see Brandon Weeden as a much more realistic possibility....Hopefully at #37, and not #22....But, we'll find out the plan soon enough.  For what it's worth, the Browns never do what I want them to do....At least Lerner's Browns never have.

If Richardson goes at #3 as I'm starting to suspect, I wouldn't mind a slight trade down at all....If they stay put, I suspect they'll take Blackmon....I'll be shocked if they take a defensive player....Or the OT.   As Heckert said, "we need guys that can score touchdowns.."

DAWG. Tannehill isn't the QB the Browns need anyway.  There are as many as 4 or 5 QBs that have more experience + the size and strenght that he does.  I know there is a lot of smoke right now especially around the Vikings at #3 and truly Trent Richardson might be the cause but then take Justin Blackmon at #4, SO WHAT.  Need is need and WR is just as important to the Browns as is RB or QB or RT.  Best possible is the way to go.  I see the smoke about the Rams taking DT Cox, really, with all the needs they have on offense, another lineman?  They don't even need Matt Kalil, he is a left tackle and Safford is the Rams LT, he could move back to RT but really, a special offensive player is what we both need.  Not a DT OR RT.  Just saying.

Say Guys   ~

I've said this before, you guys certainly have more detailed knowledge than I do... I like to look at the grander picture.  The Browns are officially drafting  in the fourth slot this year..   I'm not a big follower of the who's who of college players, so I leave that discussion for you guys.  I only know what I hear on WKNR.    The way I see this is . . . we draft #4 this year  -AND-  we have the wonderful honor of falling prey to the NFL Schedule Model . .  which just happens to have us playing a much more difficult schedule than last year.

Last year we only won what? four games, right?   What's our chances for winning more than four games this year with a tougher schedule?  Could we be in the same position in next year's draft again?  Could we be struggling with McCoy and company and next year getting a quarterback next year instead?  Could we be positioning ourselves for two banner drafts ?   Back-to-Back??

Could H&H be THAT Smart?   Just wondering out loud  .  .  .

Yet another lawsuit has been filed on behalf of multiple former players seeking compensation for concussions.  News of the new action comes on the eve of a case-management conference in Philadelphia, during which Judge Anita Brody is expected to set various timetables and guidelines for the litigation of many of the pending claims.

The newest claim includes two former No. 1 overall picks of the Cleveland Browns:  Tim Couch (pictured) and Courtney Brown.

Other plaintiffs include recognizable names like Fred Taylor, Kevin Bentley, Ladell Betts, Gilbert Brown, Ken Dilger, Olandis Gary, Nick Greisen, Willie Middlebrooks, Will Poole, Ike Reese, Joel Smeenge, John Welbourn, Roy L. Williams (the man after whom the horse-collar rule was named), Marcel Shipp, Adewale Ogunleye, and Charlie Frye.

The 126-page complaint focuses on the NFL’s formation in 1994 of a committee that purported to research the long-term effects of head injuries and concussions, and “to ameliorate the occurrence/severity of head injuries/concussions during game and practice play in an effort to educate and protect NFL players.”  The complain alleges that the NFL negligently created and administered the Mild Traumatic Brain Injury Committee, and that the MTBI Committee was simply a device for claiming that there were no risks associated with concussions.

The complaint, filed in federal court in Philadelphia by the Podhurst Orseck firm in Miami, also asserts a class action that seeks “medical monitoring” of players who suffered concussions but who possibly may not currently be experiencing health consequences.

if TR goes at #3 dont be surprised if the Browns take Clairborne at #4 ..i agree a trade down might not be a bad idea but not to far down . Blackmon would come into play then IMHO .

i was under the impression that it was free to join in . you can on game days without the insider subscription .

i am sure it was interesting as they are the best IMHO . I Might have to renew it before the season starts .

Former Browns standout Brian Brennan will receive the Dino Lucarelli Lifetime Achievement Award on Tuesday, May 8, when the Northeastern Ohio Chapter of the National Football Foundation holds its 24th annual Scholar-Athlete Awards Banquet at LaCentre Conference and Banquet Facility in Westlake.

Brennan was a fourth-round draft pick in 1984. The wide receiver played nine seasons in the NFL and was with the Browns from 1984 to '91. He is now an executive for KeyBank and was inducted into the Cleveland Sports Hall of Fame in 2009.

Just for the record guys, I really don't want to see the Browns reach on anybody....If Tannehill slides to #22 and H&H feel comfortable taking him there, then great. Put it this way,   I won't lose sleep if we don't end up with Ryan Tannehill....

I wouldn't personally take him at #4, nor anywhere in the top 15....After that,  who knows, but I don't want to see the Browns trade up for him...

correction:  I should have said I don't want to see the Browns trade up earlier than the #22 pick for Tannehill.....If he's still on the board late in the round though, and we've already got a stud RB and WR at picks #4 and #22, then I might be very tempted to move at that point....
