Tune in to the Celtics/Pacers game tonight and take notice of how a veteran team properly handles a bunch of youngsters. Portland exposed the Fakers last night for the bunch of heartless old geezers they are! Have a good weekend. Word.

Dallas is in for some serious punishment tonight. Word.Keep creating those threads dissin' Mamba because since then, well...Kobe been showin' why he's a killer...48...40...next? Mavs raised that punishment tonight and trumped the Green. Go ahead Rock, and admit it once and for all...both our old teams need some new legs sprinkled into the veteran mix to become viable contenders for the championship this season...you know it's not Word, but Fact. Peace. |

We are taking our lumps but staying competitive. This team will gel eventually. Maybe being left out in the cold for the All-Star team would wake us up? Stay motivated. 4-8 isn't the end of the world but we are in bad need of wins right now. Word.

Hawk you know well its hard to rebuild w/o a very high pick, and even those can fizzle. I actually would like to see if they could trade away one of the big 3 for a better asset in the future. Which team needs to win now?
Danny, are you listening? |

I can't believe I'm looking at a Celtics post... looks more like a Knicks post.. Don't U think youz should wait till maybe thirty - thirty five games ta see if all Ur worries are founded rather than a late start and having to get in shape while playing? Yea they 're aging, but they have mileage left (I'm sorry to say). I agree with most of the posters, these guys are past the prime, but come on, Uz should've started retooling last year. Boston got the best point guard.......... OK Now it's time to build around him.. As Far as players not wanting to go to Boston... uuugh MONEY will make the difference.... If U Pay... They'll play ... Sometimes U have to overpay to make things happen..(Yankees) and that will reverse the trend.. most times. Get a D. Howard and players want to play with him, anywhere. Boston has a problem with personal not location.. Too many old big contracts, not location. Most players don';t want top sign up for three to five years and have to wait two before U can start building.
I think Boston makes the playoffs, and one never knows what happens once that starts. The Knicks should have these problems.. If in February the Celtics are in the same boat they are now, then I think U got a problem.. I doubt that will happen. one mans opinion |

Danny did not go after CP3 because he was confident in this roster. Neither am i. Celts could make the playoffs, thats not a reach, but the Bulls, OKC, Heat and Clips look much more formidable, and in that light so does Lakers.
Take adversity and change it now. Those contracts go off the books end of this year. Use current chips to prepare the future.Danny turned a bad luck 5 pick into the big three. I do agree money talks, as does legacy, so Danny has the means NEXT year to make a splash. We are not the Knicks. We are Boston |

CP3 wasn't changing anything anyways. What the hell do you think our record would be with him. Rondo's playing as well as pretty much any PG in the game and has become a bigger offensive weapon. KG has been looking old and Pierce is getting back into shape. Does anyone really want to bet this team wont make the playoffs? Anyone who does is a fool. Only chance this team would ever miss the playoff is if they traded multiple key pieces for a young package. Celtics are fine.

WCF
i think the C's will most likely make the playoffs but considering that the team really doesnt stand a chance to do much of anything come postseason time AND the impending need to rebuild... im hoping for a lottery pick |

Boston will be fine. Their worst loss was the second Pacer game. IF Danny chooses to trade a big three member, it would have to be Ray Allen. Pierce has a reasonable contract but needs to finish his career in Boston. Garnett has too much on the books this year and nobody would give us value for him. Allen is still playing well, he is in a contract year and he is looking to sign an extension. Depending on what we could get for him, that's the way I would go if I had to. And just think, if Stern hadn't voided the Laker/Hornet deal, we would've had David West. I think we should've resigned Delonte. Word.

So Hawk and LM are in one camp, and Crotch and Cat in the other. We should be the GMs!
Hawk, thanks for the knowledge on trade constraints. Crotch, how could West have landed in Boston? He wanted more $ than Ainge could offer |

Cant do it Hawk. I'll never root for a team to lose. That just befuddles me. Celtics have a better chance of rebuilding quick this offseason if they land a free agent as oppose to trying to find somebody in the draft.ah i think my words got twisted a little I will always cheer on the celtics to win every game the difference in this season as opposed to seasons passed (big 3 era) is that im not that upset about it because my expectations of this CURRENT squad is minimal |

Hawk you know well its hard to rebuild w/o a very high pick, and even those can fizzle. I actually would like to see if they could trade away one of the big 3 for a better asset in the future. Which team needs to win now?well they could try and move KG sense he has all but said he's calling it quits after this season... the question then becomes where do you move him, can you move him and more importantly move him for what? i heard comcast sportsnet talking about Ray Allen talking extension (which really scares me because thats an idiotic plan with a 36 year old shooting guard) the problem now is that you cant trade expiring contracts anymore because much like the melo and howard and paul situations the teams that have the star wont trade the stud without getting smaller studs in return (see the paul and melo deals) the 2 big time expiring contracts that ive heard are Dwight Howard and Kevin Love both of which are almost a garuntee TO NOT come to boston short of danny pulling off a good sales pitch. so if you consider that it goes back to where do you trade the big 3 and for what in return honestly stocking up on draft picks for this draft might be the best plan considering its supposed to be one of the deepest drafts sense the lebron amare melo draft |
