Truth be known, my parents didn't buy me any games either...but I had lots of friends who had games so I got my game on at their place.
If anything, my interest in video games brought me into an interest in computers, which introduced me to programming...now I'm a software engineer.
I'm also still pretty decent at video games. 

See?  Video games are not all bad.

... of that Star Trek: TNG episode where a parasite turns Geordi into some kind of invisible creature.  Seen it like 3 times this month.  Also, any episode that focuses on Deanna Troi too much bothers me, at least until she starts wearing the blue star fleet uniform; then she starts looking hot.

...of McMackin talk on the radio; and it took less than 6 hrs.  It was a stupid thing to say and he shouldn't have said it and he apologized for it (which he probably shouldn't have).  It was meant as a joke, and as I listen to it in context, it was funny (just a bad delivery, next time have Will Ferrell tell the story).  As a straight white middle class right wing conservative judeo-christian american, I am often the butt of many jokes by many comedians. And my worldview is often attacked by politicians and the media.  But I have never heard any of them quick to apologize for offending me.

...of all the political BowlCSh!t discussions going on.  I need gameday to get here faster.  I want to read discussions about coaches, players, perfomance, and competition.  All this anti-MWC/anti-BCS talk is getting boring and redundant.  I doubt something positive will ever come of it all. 

Not much else is happening to ease the frustration.  NFL preseason games will give minor relief, but that will only go so far as I get to see the rookies and other players I'm interested in perform.  Case in point, I wanted to see Schouman make some plays in the Hall of Fame game last night.  Once I saw they weren't calling his number I lost interest and went on to watch Famly Guy reruns.

You aren't going to see much of Shou this early in the season.  He's a starter now (at least he is currently) and is still coming back from last season's injury.  He was in on a few plays, but the series they were going to the tight end he was out.  I'm really looking forward to seeing him a lot this season.  As a Buffalo fan this is the first season I've been looking forward to in quite some time.

aye, I should be old enough to know what to expect from pre-season football by now.  I'm old enough to remember when pre-season games weren't televised at all.  Now if I desire, I can watch every game throughout the weekend, twice.  They are really boring.  It was cool to see Ian get some touches on Friday, but that is tempered with the knowledge that he was running against a defense made up of guys that have as much of a chance at getting a roster spot as he does.  

I still want to see pre-season just for the fact that it may be the only chance that I get to see any rookie or up an comer whom I've taken an interest in do anything in a pro uniform.  And maybe, just maybe I will get to see lighting in a bottle and the beginning of the next great career.

of waiting for the college football season to start so that the octadads can really go at it.   Oh wait BS2 and Blacker zero already have a thread where they call each other troll 100 times then use terms of endearment like, numb nuts, butt buds and douche bag.
