Hey to all Bama fans.  I'm back after a long absence and pumped for the season.  I way overpaid for opening game goal line tickets but am excited to be making the trip down from Virginia with my 9 year old son for his first game at BDS.  I'll be staying in Centreville in Bibb County.  Where's the best place to park for the game?

It's been awhile since I attended a BDS game.  I used to park at Tuscaloosa/Central/Whatever it's named now High school on 15th St. and walk to the stadium.  Later years I'd park at University Mall and take the shuttle.  Are those venues still available or is all parking on campus now?

UAGameday will tell you all that but shuttles are set up in many places including those two venues I believe...I like to come in behind campus on River Road(Jack Warner pkwy now I believe) I then turn into a residential area and drive up some and park on the side of the road. Once you walk just a little bit you surface to see the stadium and the strip real close to that Publix.

Any Bama fans coming to Durham, NC for the 9/18 Game at Duke, I have a 14' pop up camper that I am looking to rent out. I am 1.5 miles from the stadium, have a stove, grill elect. hookups to go with it. Sleeps 6. (no toilet) Send me an email @ cappync@gmail.com if interested.

Friday afternoon Scam Newton becomes solved. Nothing special anymore, after a Saban defensive scheme shows how you stop a schoolyard junk offense. Scams just another running QB who cannot find a secondary reciever.

Coach Dennis Franchione is headed back to Division 1-A football. Sort of. He has been chosen as head coach at Texas State, where he was previously head coach in 1990 and 1991, before spurning them on his way to New Mexico. The Texas State whatever-in-the-hell-they-are's will make the move to Division 1-A at the end of the 2011 season.

He'd run away like a hippie from the draft board.  The carnage we inflicted during the Cap One bowl would pale in comparision to what we'd do to his players.  There'd be no program left for him to take to a higher division.  It would be fun to watch though, even if it is close to a Lions vs. Christians contest.

I wonder how much we'd have to pay to get them in Tuscaloosa?
