The Big Ten sucks so bad that only 5 teams were in the final coaches poll Top 25 and 4 in the final AP.
Compare that to the SEC who had.......well 5....but the Big 12 had......5..........so the Big Ten is so bad that no conference had more teams in the final coaches poll Top 25. That's pretty bad!
This is my take on the whole arguement of Big 10-SEC. It is because this is 2 of the best conferences. The thing I don't understand is Why the Big 12 isn't more into this arguement? They are the tweener conference. Geographically in between Big 10 and SEC sort of. The other 3 confernces don't hold a candle so you don't hear from them. It is the big dogs trying to knock each other of the mountain and this year both sides pretty much have to agree it was the SEC. Next year it might be the big ten. This would be my idea for a playoff 16 team. 11 conference champs 5 at large. First round higher seed host. Second round is the 4 BCS bowls, semis and finals rotate between predetermined 6 major conference sites. All games still matter b/c you use the BCS formula and a lose WILL affect your seeding if not knock you out completly. All teams go back to 11 games (if not 10 if you have a conference champ game too and think you have a shot). Each round highest seed plays lowest just like the NFL. so if a 12 and 13 seed win the don't play eac other the play the 1 and 2 seeds in the next round also making the regular season and seeding highly important.
If this would have been in place before bowl mine would have looked like tis.
