Nice comeback by the Broncos but an even bigger choke by the Chargers.  

Great Tuesday Morning GB10, my emotions last night ranged from the depths of despair to feeling on top of the world

I don't believe what I just saw (in my best Vin Scully voice)...I'm almost speechless...ALMOST!!!  How the Broncos started so absolutely atrocious and finished so absolutely fantastic is just mind boggling.  Three turnovers leading directly to 17 points (including a pick 6 where they never even stepped on the field) told me that the defense wasn't playing that bad.  I figured I would watch the first half of the 3rd quarter and if Denver didn't score at least 10 points go to bed before breaking something.  The first TD drive culminating in a 29 yard TD to Demaryius Thomas was a thing of beauty, but it wasn't until the strip sack by Elvis Dumervile that was scooped and scored by their backup DB who was only on the feild because Jerry Porter was back home with an illness that I really thought that they could actually complete the comeback.  As the game wore on you could see Philip Rivers try to force some things in an attempt to swing momentum back, but instead only compounded the Chargers problems...reminded me of when the Patriots unexplainedly went for it on 4th down in their own territory to try to keep the ball from Peyton Manning while he was with the Colts.  Now tied atop the AFC West division with a 2-0 record inside division play and almost through the most brutal part of their schedule (still one more game at home vs the Saints coming off their bye week) has me feeling like this is going to be a playoff team.  Now if there is still even one Broncos fan that thinks that Tim Tebow would have been a better alternative, I would expect to see them committed immediately.

Sorry Dave, but sometimes an evening of entertainment simply can't be explained in 3 sentences. Now on the other hand why the Reds signed Dusty baker to a 2 year extension can be explained in just one word...IDIOTS!!!

Congrats go out to Scott for the victory over me in the Justice League...he's got himself a decent team that if his RBs stay healthy I fully expect to see again in the playoffs.

The Chargers blew a lead last week against the Saints.  That's why I picked the Broncos to win that one.  Coming back from a 24-0 halftime deficit is impressive.  The defense stepped it up, and Peyton Manning pretty much cemented his future hall of fame status.

I think that if we are talking about the Mount Rushmore of Playoff QBs, there is no doubt that Montana belongs in the conversation (so would others like Otto Graham, Terry Bradshaw, and Roger Staubach for that matter), but because he played on a 49ers team with numerous HOF players Joe simply didn't have to elevate his team like Elway, Marino, and Manning did.  I think Brady is also the beneficiary of playing with numerous HOF players (just not on the offensive side of the ball), but only time will tell
