Even if they did "move the batters box"-- its not like they moved it further back for the opposing pitcher......so"IF"(big IF) that went down-- it was a level playing field....big deal...???

I'll take his ace performances as long as I can. Maybe he altered his mechanics to compensate for his injury problems.

Well. well - a complete game shutout, and his arm didn't fall off!  I'll be happy if his main course is 10 very good starts before he ruptures his spleen.  Anything over that I'll consider a generous helping of Baked Alaska for dessert.

The White Sox are very impressive so far.If Rios keeps hittin' & A.J.continues to do his thing & Dunn goes back to his 40HR yrs.& DeAza keeps gettin on base & Paulie has a typical yr.Floyd,Danks Humber & Peavy are all legit MLB SPs the Chisox will make noise.I never believed in KC 'cause they lack pitching. As far as silly allegations, next thing they'll be sayin the Saints GM wiretapped the opponents sideline.@scrub44.You said it.It's an even playing field.

I remember this Jake, and I like this Jake. I also remember that he has a tendency to throw 3-4 gems and then a stink bomb, throw 3-4 gems and then a stink bomb. Wash, rinse, repeat. I'll take it.

It's clear he's pitching well, but there are concerns it seems to me.  Early in the game his pitches had life down in the zone, and he was getting KOs.  As the game wore on, his pitches came up in the zone, though there was no real discernible change in effectiveness.  He wnt from KOs and ground balls to flyouts.  Do you think this will catch up to him down the road?  But maybe I'm picking nits and should just enjoy a productive free agent p/u.

You can try, Jersey, but you still won't get full value for him even after this CGSO. He is injury prone and pitches for a team that currently has an over-achieving offense. Hopefully you get something good if you do...probably not a better time to do it as he has most likely hit the ceiling for this season.

He has pitched this well most of his career. He is 100% healthy this season, no need to think he will break down, I see a 2nd CY young in his future, Hey he is ONLY 30...If you have him ride him through a huge 2012...

You're not gonna get much in a trade. Just hold tight and go for the ride. It shouldnt have cost you much to get him(I picked him up last week for 17$)so enjoy it while it lasts. I think the big concern is obviously injury, barring that the guys been legit...

A talented pitcher who's finally healthy after a few years. Won't maintain elite status, but could remain a plus pitcher. Not top 10, but top 30.

Peavy is only 30! Injuries is the only thing from letting him showcase the talent we seen in 2007. I agree not a top 10 arm, but a top 20 isn't outta the picture. With good run support hell be fine. If he's healthy enough to log 200 innings 15 wins are guaranteed!

Whats with all the "injury" prone..."injury" risk...He is going to get "injured"...ANY Player at ANY time can get injured...If you are lucky enough to have Peavy you should just sit back and enjoy the ride...There are such things as "comback" players / seasons...Who is to say that Peavy can't win another Cy Young..He has all the tools and confidence...Its great to see a player come back from injuries to persevere...

Peavy is maybe the most anxiety arousing pitcher to own in fantasy. When healthy, he's as good as they come, but the risk of injury constantly hangs over his head. I'm riding this hoss with the hope he'll stay healthy and effective but prepared for the seemingly annual injury. Man, is he ever talented when he stays out of the ER!!! Today he goes against Lester.
