Dawes: Stories Don't End
So I have had the opportunity to listen to this a couple times now, and it is very good. I appreciate the fact that they are able to very strongly maintain their musical identity without really repeating themselves. Think I will have to listen to it again today!

Hi Koy!

Artist : Wussy - Millie Christine

Wussy is one of several Cincinnati bands that are on the cusp of national recognition. Wussy, The National, Walk the Moon, and Heartless Bastards are just a few of the young bands that have made the Cincinnati music scene so vibrant. Between the unique venues and bands, the Cincinnati music scene will continue to thrive for years to come.

"I Live For You" - George Harrison

"You Got Me Rocking" - Rolling Stones
Can not believe my luck lately with concert tickets-I had heard the Stones were sellign tickets to their two L.A. shows, on sale yesterday at 10. The least expensive were $150, except for 1000 seats per show for $85(incl fees), some of which were the best in the house, some of which were rafter seats and all in  between. So I took and chance....and scored a pair of $600 floor seats for $85 each!!!!!!!!! So f'n psyched!!!!!

"Throw your Arms Around Me(Live)" -  Eddie Vedder and Liam Finn

A song originally written and recorded by Aussie band Hunters and Collectors in 1984, Eddie Vedder sort of adopted it as the song he would always break out when the band would play Australia. This version features Neil Finn from Crowded House's brother Liam, but Eddie has also brought up original writer and vocalist Mark Seymour formerly of Hunters and Collectors to perform the song with him.  Great obscure tune!

DAWES - THAT WESTERN SKYLINE

Is it strange that, after three stellar albums, my favorite Dawes song is still the opening track on their debut album?

Wonder how many other artists that holds true for?  I can think of at least one more off the top of my head - Steve Forbert("Goin' Down To Laurel" from Alive On Arrival).

WOMAN CALLS 911, ASKS FOR DIVORCE

(AP) – Call it an emergency of the heart: Police have cited a 42-year-old Pennsylvania woman for disorderly conduct after she called 911 requesting a divorce and police assistance to make her husband leave. Troopers say the woman called just after 1am Saturday asking that officers be sent to her home in Girard Township in northwestern Pennsylvania.

Police say they explained to the woman, whom they are not identifying, that a divorce is a civil matter and that they could not make her husband leave the residence because no crime had been committed. Instead, police have cited the woman for disorderly conduct and misusing the Erie County 911 system.

I don't think that's strange. My favorite Steve Earle song is "Guitar Town", from his debut album of the same name. and one of my favorite Springsteen songs is "Growin Up" from Greeting From Asbury Park.
