It does appear to me that keepers fill in the first 12 rounds of the custom draft, but that's easily solved. If we set keepers sometime in the offseason, the LM just has to move the keepers to the bottom of the custom draft board instead of at the top, and it'll all be good. Those with the early picks will still get them at the slot at which they traded (for example, I think I have the 10th and 11th picks in the first round and the 11th pick in the 2nd (traded to Dave on a handshake deal right now)). With keepers filling in rounds 5-16, those keeping fewer than 12 will automatically get 5th, 6th, 7th, etc. round picks to complete their rosters. Guys like me who will only have 15 players at the end of the draft can complete their rosters from the waiver wire.

that's what I was trying to say max, thanks for doing the research on it
what you said should work, if we would've just went ahead as is, a team that acquired a 1st round pick via trade would be picking while the rest of the teams would be automatically taking one of their reserved keepers
so in essence they'd get first pick of whom ever is available, all this is easily fixable as max said
Again thanks max, I know what I was trying to say wasn't easy to follow, I suck at explaining things!
Just a suggestion, but if we can I think we should have to set keepers within the next 2 weeks. The longer we wait, the more the picture next year will become clear, and the less talent will be available in the draft for the teams at the bottom of the league.
I am willing to consider parting with VJAX or Greg Jennings, but not for draft picks. Need a #1 RB coming back the other way. Remember that with the current settings you can only trade players you're going to keep, and trades of picks will mean you have to tell the other guy who to draft, and then trade that player after the draft.
