Kerry Rhodes is no Rhodes scholar - OK not the most original line, but damn, it's fitting. Saying you want to "embarrass" the Patriots on Sunday is a pretty foolish thing to do.
Has Rhodes ever heard of Randy Moss ? Did he forget what Moss did just one season ago in the Meadowlands? Kerry, you seem to not understand that it is YOUR team that has the rookie quarterback, and the Patriots have some guy named Tom Brady . You know, as in the Tom Brady who will be a 1st ballot Hall of Famer .
It's understandable that after winning one whole game this season, against the mighty Houston Texans no less, that the Jets are feeling confident and think they're a contender. Understandable, but wrong . Rookie head coaches don't historically do well in the NFL. Rookie QB's don't historically do well either. Let's see how much cheap trash talking and bravado is spewing from the Meadowlands next week, after the Patriots hand the Jets a crushing defeat .
Randy Moss - 145+- rec. yds, 3 TD's
Wes Welker - 80+- rec. yds 1 TD
Other Patriots - 100+- rec. yds
Tom Brady - 300+ yds, 4 TD's, AFC Player of The Week
Kerry Rhodes - torched for 3 TD's, falls mute

Well, not much excitement now was there? It seems the big talk around the CBSSports Community is once again focused on the New England Patriots . Other than the Pittsburgh Steelers, is there a more disliked franchise in the league?
I've read a lot of stupid comments from fans, although there does seem to be a disproportionate amount of Steelers fans making those stupid comments, regarding how "lucky" the Patriots were to win Monday against the Buffalo Bills. Little lesson here - that was not luck.
It wasn't luck that made Leodis McKelvin make a bonehead decision to run the ball out of the end zone.
It wasn't luck that Brady threw 2 touchdown passes to Ben Watson in the final 76 seconds.
It wasn't luck that held Terrell Owens to 2 catches for 46 yards.
It was hard work, training, and skilled players and coaches that made the win possible. The Patriots are the best coached, and have some of the game's best players in the league. It's precisely for those reasons that they will win most of their games again this season. Until they no longer have the best coach and the best QB and WR, this will be the case.
All of the fans who whine and cry about "luck" are not really aware of what it takes to win in the NFL. If you want an example of a "lucky" win, look to the Broncos beating the Bengals on that fluke TD catch by Brandon Stokely. That's an example of a lucky play. Compare that play to how the Patriots won their game against the Bills. Two totally different things.
