Miami hires Mike Glazier
In a video statement on Monday, Miami president Donna Shalala said the school had hired "outside counsel that specializes in NCAA cases."
Glazier has been working with schools in NCAA hot water for at least 25 years bringing hundreds of billable hours to his firm Bond, Schoeneck and King in Overland Park, Kan. Glazier and former partner Mike Slive practically invented the cottage industry when both began taking cases out of Chicago in the 1980s.
Oregon made a similar move in the spring, almost immediately hiring Glazier after Yahoo Sports broke the Will Lyles story.
Glazier is a former NCAA investigator.

ARRRGH! Typo alertI meant to say, "if they [the NCAA] want real enforcement, they must HIRE real enforcement professionals." Too bad we can't edit these posts after they are posted. I know it would be easier to just do it right the first time, but most of us aren't perfect.
Anyway, the NCAA is becoming a joke. They must find a way to enforce their rules equally, no matter whose friend or crony works at the school in question. |

Miami hires Mike Glazier: let the spinning beginWhy does Paul Dee still have a job? Worse yet, why does he apparently have two? Does NCAA stand for "National Cronyism Addicts Anonymous?"
Just like Mark Emmert should be disqualified from any input into THE Ohio State Univesity's investigation because of his relationship with Gordon Gee, Paul Dee should not be allowed any input on the Miami case due to his personal involvement in the violations. The NCAA either has the world's largest blind spot when it comes to conflict of interest, or they just don't care. I am voting for the latter. The NCAA needs to hire outside investigators and an outside panel to ensure the integrity of their system. The sad irony here is that the NCAA cheats much worse in their decision-making process than the schools being investigated did. If they want real enforcement, they need to here real enforcement professionals and let them do their jobs, no matter how many of their friends and cronies get their toes stepped on. |

Miami hires Mike GlazierAccording to the University of Miami School of Education--Department of Kinesiology and Sports Sciences, Paul Dee is still on staff. He was on staff when he headed the committee that sanctioned usc. So more hypocrisy and irony -he worked for a school he was supposed to police while he worked for the NCAA -he teaches a class on “Sports Governance” KIN573 -he’s an acknowledged expert on the legal aspects of sport and governance but he didn’t know? -he was working for the school (receiving paychecks) that was competing with USC for recruits like /Seantrel Henderson when he handed out the sanctions. This last point might be enough to re-open USC’s Sanctions. The UM dept. of K & sports sciences website states: “National Influence The link to the U of M website.

Miami hires Mike GlazierOk, so the NCAA has given Robert Marve and the Brown's and any other player Miami recruited or transferred out IMMUNITY in exchange for their testimony. Marve was a head case and his Miami days ended badly, same for Aruther Brown. His brother Bryce was no better pulling his recruiting BS and look what happened while he was at Tennessee. They both went crying home to mommy back to Kansas b/c they were both to stupid to learn the playbooks at either place. And other players did not come to Miami for various other reasons, good or bad. But b/c they have no affiliation w/ Miami and really in the end, don't care, how on earth, or any planet for that matter, is this fair!?!?!? Of course these guys are going to say awful things about Miami to for vengence or to save their own skin This just solidifes that the NCAA only cares about killing Miami and the football program. The NCAA is joke! |

Miami hires Mike GlazierIt's common sense measures to ensure that the Canes get a fair assessment of what the NCAA finds...which is only photographs. Shitpiro the stalker, hasn't got anything on the Canes other than taking photos wioth them. That proves nothing except that he was a wannabe that took as many photos as possible to feel like he was somebody. |

Miami hires Mike GlazierNow that the U has lawyered up, they need to stonewall the NCAA like auburn did and blame everything on the ponzi crook. they can't trace anything back to the players--so they should be ok.USC stonewalled the NCAA as well and we know how well that turned out. ![]() |

Miami hires Mike GlazierWhere are the tOSU supporters in the 'Canes' time of need? Where are the "everyone cheats" quotes? The tOSU bloggers were telling us incessantly how clean and above board the tOSU program was, until honest Jim Tressel was caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Now those same folks are blaming the human race for the scandal in Columbus. Here is the tOSU supporters chance to take the "high road" and support a fellow school undergoing the scrutiny of the NCAA. Then again, all they care about is their own skin and are willing to be hypocrites as long as the tOSU is the beneficiary of corruption. Miami, you guys are on your own.
